April 13, 2018PRESS RELEASE
SARASOTA, FL – Pines of Sarasota Foundation is extremely appreciative of receiving generous gifts from the foundations of a husband and wife Sarasota philanthropists.
$35,000 was received from the Roberta Leventhal Sudakoff Foundation for a Chiller Plant for the campus of Pines of Sarasota Rehabilitation and Senior Care Community.
In addition, $35,000 was received from the Harry Sudakoff Foundation for the new Chiller plant.
Chiller Plants are machines used to facilitate heat exchange from water to a refrigerant in a closed loop system. The Chiller Plant at Pines of Sarasota provides chilled water for mid-campus buildings as well as necessary cooling for the laundry building, which operates 365 days a year. In turn, the heat generated from these buildings provides pre-heating for the hot water needs for laundry service.
These two foundations have generously supported Pines of Sarasota over the years: the Harry Sudakoff Foundation between 1998-2016 has donated $358,470. The Robert Leventhal Sudakoff Foundation between the years of 2006 to 2016 has gifted Pines of Sarasota $499,000.
