President's Letter From Estelle Crawford

Dear Friend,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site, meet some of the Pines Family and see the many faces of Pines of Sarasota. The Pines of Sarasota Foundation was created in 1990 to ensure that regardless of the economic environment or financial capacity of our residents that Pines would continue to be a home and a community that ensures quality and compassion every day in every way. As a result of this important responsibility, our focus is on raising funds and delivering grants to support new construction, renovations, medical equipment, programs, projects and individual resident needs.

 

Every senior deserves to have the very best care and environment, regardless of their economic circumstances. From dozens of ongoing activities to beautiful covered walkways to visits from therapy pets to intergenerational activities with our on-site childcare, Pines is a very special place – thanks to the dedication of our community and generosity of donors.

 

I would like to share a story with you about Tom, a resident, and his wife Pat. "I can sleep now." That comment was made to me by a wife who had just placed her husband at Pines. It was my first day at Pines and I was surprised by that statement. I looked at Pat and saw the love in her eyes and asked why she felt that way. Pat explained, "It is the first time I am assured that Tom will be well cared for and loved. I went through this experience with my friend and saw first hand the difference a caring and long term staff can make. Pines is that place."

 

To maintain this special place of community and care, as well as create an exciting future, we are most appreciative of our donors, who make it all possible. I invite you to consider becoming one of our many wonderful Faces of Pines.
